5 Qs with Jeffrey Beno
Director of Consulting, Emerging Technologies Practice CGI, United States
|
1. What is Document Migration, and why is it important for businesses to leverage?
Document Migration is an important aspect of any Enterprise Document Management implementation or upgrade. When a new system goes live, all documents are migrated through an automated process, eliminating the need for the business to manually move documents while allowing them to continue business operations versus IT related activities. Document Migrations also ensure the documents are correctly migrated without errors through automated verification processes, providing the level of confidence to the business that the overall process was successful.

How to Avoid a Cash Flow Crisis: Know Your Business
Article by People's United Bank
|
|
All businesses, regardless of their size, are susceptible to cash flow problems but none more so than small businesses. Whether it is underestimating a sales cycle, falling behind on collections, an unexpected downturn in the economy, or a disruption like bad weather, small businesses are much more prone to a cash flow crisis. Fast-growing businesses are especially vulnerable to cash crunches when increasing expenses begin to outrun their cash flow or they let their receivables get out of control.

Workforce Training & Professional Development:
Maine Community College System Announces Historic Investment in Workforce Training
|
|
The Harold Alfond Foundation (HAF) grant of $15.5 million will enable Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC) and its sister colleges to vastly expand and strengthen short-term training and education for incumbent workers or individuals looking to enter the workforce. This grant will be combined with Governor Mills’ Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan which allocated $35 million from the American Recovery Plan funds to enable Maine’s community colleges to provide low- or no- cost training to more than 24,000 frontline workers over the next four years.
KVCC is excited to create or expand training programs in areas of healthcare, trades, hospitality, education, computer training or green initiatives. We can offer the same flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the business community.
If you would like to train your employees or future employees, contact Elizabeth Fortin at 207.453.5858 or by email at efortin@kvcc.me.edu to take advantage of this incredible opportunity for free or low cost training.
