KVCC Highlights Entrepreneurship Through Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan Funding
Kennebec Valley Community College is currently offering a new Business Entrepreneurship training class funded through the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan grant funds. There was an overwhelming response to the training, with over 100 applicants. Twenty-two individuals were selected based on the grant eligibility requirements and business plan ideas. Students are learning what it takes to operate a small business in Maine including developing a business plan, marketing, finances and finishing with a pitch competition. A new cohort will start in June 2024. Trainings like this and more, funded through Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan (MJRP), Harold Alfond Foundation and Maine Quality Centers make training for individuals and businesses accessible and affordable. For more information on this or other training programs in trades, healthcare or commercial driving visit our website at www.kvcc.me.edu/workforce.

To learn more about custom training options, please contact Elizabeth Fortin at 207.453.5858 or by email at workforce@kvcc.me.edu to take advantage of this incredible opportunity for free or low-cost training.
