Quality of Life
Sponsored by MaineGeneral Health
Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Day of Hope, a family-friendly event and fundraiser supporting the high quality provided to cancer patients at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care (HACCC).

This year’s event returns to the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday, Oct. 7. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the opening ceremony at 10 a.m., followed by the Walk for Hope and activities tailored toward health, wellness, and fun!

In 2022, the Day of Hope raised more than $200,000, making it possible for the HACCC to:

  • Support Radiation Oncology by purchasing dosimetry equipment to improve computing times;
  • Purchase an ultrasound machine, providing better imagery;
  • Purchase a lab centrifuge for research;
  • Provide transportation, lodging, and meal kits to patients in need;
  • And so much more!
