On September 12th, the Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation (CSEDC) honored Nancy Wilson, CEO of Morrison Container Handling Solutions, with the Jack Lanigan Sr. Memorial Big Shoes Award for her tireless work in connecting education, workforce development and the manufacturing industry.

In August, the new CMISP website and video were introduced, IMEC presented on their programs, and th e workforce and B2B  networking teams identified next steps and priorities for the year. Make sure to join CMISP for the next quarterly meeting on November 19th. 
 
Apprenticeship Panel at Daley College
 
Over 100 people attended the Apprenticeship Employer Panel at Daley College on September 18th to learn more about how local employers have used apprenticeships to fill their workforce needs. There are resources available to companies interested in exploring apprenticeships as a work-based learning strategy.
