Bruns Avenue Elementary students and staff stepped into their brand-new building, a project funded by the 2017 bond. Check out the transformation by comparing images of the two buildings. A great environment makes for even better education. The Bruns Avenue Elementary School replacement project, which began in August, is currently in Phase 2, involving the demolition of the old Bruns building and installation of a staff/visitor parking lot, with CMS salvage operations starting and demolition expected through spring 2025.
Principal Michael Miliote and his staff provided a tour of the newly constructed Ballantyne Ridge High School for Dr. Crystal Hill, CMS superintendent; Ingrid Medlock, CMS chief of staff; and CMS Board of Education members Summer Nunn, Lenora Shipp and Lisa Cline during the first week of school. The tour showcased state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, the gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria and more. The entire building, still filled with the fresh scent of new construction, offers an inspiring and supportive environment that will contribute to the bright futures of its students.
