Calling all Veterans
| |
We need you! Every year we plan a wonderful Veteran’s Day Program. This program is filled with music, tributes and much more. This year it is set for Nov. 11 and we are asking for a parent who is willing to speak to our wonderful students. If you are interested in being our honorary speaker or would like more information please email Luvina Subia. Thank you! | |
Lost and Found
We already have an abundance of water bottles in Lost and Found as well as clothes starting to pile up. Please ask your child to check the items that are located by the stairs in the main hallway.
Candy
SRO Brett Roberson passes out candy to students during passing periods, as reward for participating in dress up days, etc. She would appreciate any and all donations.

Jessica Colombo
Dragon of the Month
Congratulations to Jessica Colombo, CMS Receptionist, for being selected as September's Dragon of the Month. She is the first one to greet people when they ring the bell, assists students with calls home, and arranges for subs, among a host of other things. She does all of this with a smile.

Green Sound Machine Show Choir
I am Ms. Heiser, the Choir teacher at Carroll and Dawson Middle School and I am the director of Green Sound Machine!
For those of you who do not know what Green Sound Machine is, it is the competitive show choir for the middle ages, combining students in 6-8th grades at Dawson, Eubanks, Carroll and Durham.
Show Choir brings together both singing and dancing to create a fun, high energy and competitive ensemble; much like a team sport. Students will have three performances and two competitions throughout the year and rehearse weekly October - February. In only their second year of existence, GSM managed to win an award at the Lonestar Show Choir Invitational!
If your student is currently enrolled in a choir during the school day, no audition is required, they simply need to register on our site. This also applies for students at the intermediate level that were in the Carroll Youth Honor Choir last year. If your student would like to join this fun ensemble and they are NOT currently enrolled in a choir class on their campus, a simple (online only) audition is required. It is due by Sunday, Sept.29. Head to Dragon Choir Website for more info!
The mandatory parent meeting will be on Sept. 30 at 4:30 pm in the CSHS Concert Hall. If there are any issues, please send me an email and we will work something out.
I am so excited to have everyone in Green Sound Machine this year! Please sign up here-Green Sound Machine Sign Up
