8th Grade Day of Service

Parents-

The 8th graders did fantastic on their service day on Oct. 4. The students worked so hard, they did a variety of sorting items, garden/farm work (in almost record heat), and some were able to make some cards for people that receive meals on wheels. I heard nothing but compliments on our dragons. Thank you so much for molding amazing dragons.

Office News

Thank you so much to all that have already donated to the Thanksgiving Service Project. Donating is not a requirement for anyone but I had a few staff members as for the link. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. The pantry is so excited to receive the donation kits from our campus. So many families would go without a Thanksgiving Meal without your help. I am continually amazed by this fabulous community that we get to serve.

We have an exciting morning planned for the 7th Grade students on Nov. 20 in which the students will get to assemble the “kits” along with other service projects we have planned for the day. We have just a few more weeks left to collect all the items for the Thanksgiving Drive. I have attached the flyer with the Amazon Link.  Amazon Link Feel free to share this with your Dragon Dens, I have sent out emails and also posted on Counselor’s Corner.

We would love to meet our goal of at least 100 kits, helping us promote this drive is the key to success.

Also if you know any companies that might like to help sponsor our drive, I would love to reach out to them. Please let me know the company name and contact number.

On the Amazon list I have included gift cards, these will be used to purchase items from the list when we are closer to the end of the drive to make sure that we can donate complete kits.

If you have any questions please reach out to me and let me know.

Thank you,

Elayne Dunn

Calling all Veterans

We need you! Every year we plan a wonderful Veteran’s Day Program. This program is filled with music, tributes and much more. This year it is set for Nov. 11 and we are asking for a parent who is willing to speak to our wonderful students. If you are interested in being our honorary speaker or would like more information please email Luvina Subia. Thank you!

Lost and Found

We already have an abundance of water bottles in Lost and Found as well as clothes starting to pile up. Please ask your child to check the items that are located by the stairs in the main hallway.

Candy

SRO Brett Roberson passes out candy to students during passing periods, as reward for participating in dress up days, etc. She would appreciate any and all donations.
