We need you! Every year we plan a wonderful Veteran’s Day Program. This program is filled with music, tributes and much more. This year it is set for Nov. 11 and we are asking for a parent who is willing to speak to our wonderful students. Lost and Found
We already have an abundance of water bottles in Lost and Found as well as clothes starting to pile up. Please ask your child to check the items that are located by the stairs in the main hallway.
Candy
SRO Brett Roberson passes out candy to students during passing periods, as reward for participating in dress up days, etc. She would appreciate any and all donations.

Have a photo you want to share with the yearbook staff? We are needing summer vacation, camp, off-campus pe, weekend activities, community services, etc. Please include your student's name, the photographer name, and any additional information that may be helpful such as date and locations.

Extended Day
Need to make up a test or quiz? Need a quiet place to work on homework or study after school? Join us in Extended Day.
Extended Day is held in the library on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 3:50-4:50 pm.
General guidelines:
-
Students must arrive in the library by 3:50 pm with all materials needed, i.e. laptop, binders, pencil, etc.
- Students who come to take tests or quizzes may leave as soon as they're finished.

Students who come for homework must stay until 4:50 pm

Animal Science Needs
The animals would love to have any of your fruits and veggies that you may need to throw out soon. They love to eat the following:
romaine lettuce
spinach
cilantro
strawberries
broccoli
We are also looking for newspapers for our feathered friends.

Junior Belle Clinic and Workshop - Oct. 19
Join the Award-winning Emerald Belles on Oct. 19, from 1-4 pm at Carroll Senior High School for the Junior Belle Clinic and Workshop including grades K-8. This will also feature a Performance at Dragon Stadium on Oct. 24. Dancers receive training, a commemorative photo button and T-shirt for the performance night. Snacks are provided.
K-4 Clinic: $55
5-8 Workshop: $85

Join the CISD Special Programs Boosters for a Texas Tradition like no other, a DRAGON TAILGATE! Oct. 10 @ Dragon Stadium we will be hosting our 3rd annual tailgate for Families + Friends of CISD Special Programs. This year we will be treated to freshly smoked pulled pork sliders, smoked sausages and hotdogs for kids of all ages plus chips, dessert and water. It will be Pink Out Night and we will be selling a limited number of PINK Special Programs Boosters t-shirts at the Tailgate, so get there early to make sure you can snag one.

CMA Booster Membership Drive - through Nov. 29
CMA Booster Membership Drive is open and running until Nov. 29. You are REQUIRED to be a member of the CMA Boosters for a minimum of 3 years in order to qualify for a Senior scholarship. You can join online and pay by credit card at “2024-2025 Booster Membership Registration” on the carrollmedical.com website. “2024-25 CMA Membership ” is $100. Remember that booster membership is annual and we need 100% participation from parents of each class to ensure we have funding for this year’s activities. Thanks to those who have already signed up.
Southlake Showdown 5K Series is a weekly challenge for 36 weeks to get Dragon Families and surrounding communities together for some fun. There is a great route in the middle of Southlake free from traffic that I think you’ll enjoy. The Southlake Showdown 5K Series can be as challenging as you would like it to be. You can join us for just a casual evening walk or take it up a notch and compete for places. I hope to see you on Thursday evenings.

SPECIAL MONTHLY CHALLENGES: 1 Thursday a month we have a special challenge.
· · Sept. 26th Consistency Challenge: Participants who complete the most races this month are the winners.
· Oct. 24 - Costume Challenge: Participants dress up and best costume is the winner.
· Nov. 21 - Family Participation Challenge: Families that run together, win together. Family(s) that have the most participation are the winners.
· Dec. 19 - Participation Challenge: Participants enter into a raffle, with prizes awarded at the end of the race.
· Jan. 30 - Mile Marker Challenge: Mini-challenges at each mile marker.
· Feb. 27 - Team Competition Challenge: Participants form teams of 3-4. Team with the best average performance are the winners.
· March 2h - Pet Challenge: Participants run with their pets and fastest runner with a pet are the winners.
· April 24 - Mileage Milestones Challenge: Recognize runners who hit certain mileage milestones throughout the series.
· May 15 - Improvement Challenge: Recognize participants who show the most improvement in their times over the course of the series.
