During the Annual Tiger Hunt on August 3rd the incoming 6th grade students gathered on the Central front steps to take their first class picture. We wish them well as the grace the halls over the next 6 years.

Dispite the micro burst that cut Tiger Hunt short by a half hour there were record numbers in attendance and a good time had by all.

Tickets will also be sold at the door. Tickets are $5 a piece. Hope to see you there!

A BIG Thanks to Nissan for the donation of tennis balls for Central's classroom chairs!

More tennis balls are needed for the classroom chairs to preserve the newly shined floor.

If you might know of somewhere that would donate used tennis balls please contact them on behalf of Central. Check with the specific activity center, YMCA, or club. They may have some to donate.

If you do get a donation, please bring it to the front office. Thank you!

CMS PTO will hold the 2nd Annual Parent Work day to keep Central the beautiful school that it is. There will be a little work in the front lawn, but this year we would like to spruce up the Teacher's Lounge.

We will be painting and cleaning. If anyone has furniture, a full size working refrigerator or microwaves that you would like to donate to the teachers, email Charmaine at centralmagnewsletter2018@gmail.com.

See you on Sept. 7th!
Did you know Central Magnet PTO is a charitable organization on  smile.amazon.com ?

That’s right! AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of most purchases back to our school!

Unfortunately, Amazon does not have a way to add AmazonSmile to their app so here is what you do if you shop almost exclusively on your mobile device:
1.) Sign into  smile.amazon.com  on the web-browser of your mobile device.
2.) Select Central Magnet PTO as your charitable organization under settings.
3.) Click the “share” button.
4.) Click “add to home screen.”
5.) Use this short cut instead of the app (it’s a very similar user experience).
6.) Feel good knowing your are supporting the CMS teachers and students!
" An Investment for a Brighter Future " is the primary fundraiser for the CMS PTO. This year, our campaign goal is $50,000. We are asking for a $180 donation from each family - that is just $1 a day for the 180 days in the school year!

Last year, CMS families generously contributed over $54,500 through the Brighter Future campaign, and the school was able to purchase classroom supplies, equipment, software, and more to supplement the needs of our outstanding student body and faculty.  Click here to view items purchased.
Please consider participating at whatever level is possible for your family - all donations towards our $50,000 goal make a difference and are appreciated!
