FOOT HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
For people with diabetes, nerve damage, circulation problems, and infections can lead to serious foot problems. During Foot Health Awareness Month, you are encouraged to remind yourself and your patients of the things that can be done to keep their feet in good shape, improve circulation, and catch a problem before it becomes severe.

ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH
Many patients are unaware of the
negative impacts that excessive alcohol can have on their health. For instance, drinking too much can raise the levels of some fats in the blood. It can also lead to high blood pressure and heart failure and an increased calorie intake which can lead to obesity or diabetes. Also, alcohol can reduce the effectiveness or cause adverse interactions with cerain medications. During Alcohol Awareness Month, make a special effort to educate patients about these risks.
