CMS’s proposal to revise the way prior authorizations are handled currently is problematic in that it specifically does not allow these new standards to apply to Medicaid or to the rapidly growing Medicare Advantage plans.

The American Medical Association (AMA) released new CPT codes for use in reporting COVID-19 vaccinations and Medicare has identified codes to be used for reporting the administration of COVID-19 monoclonal antibodies during the public health emergency.
