Educator Summer Experience

The Mississippi Forge Forward Summer Experience for Educators is designed to support high school teachers, counselors, and college instructors in their efforts to share career opportunities with students. This 3-day experience will focus on providing information about the manufacturing industry to enable educators to prepare the next generation of the manufacturing workforce in Mississippi. CEUs are available to educators, if needed. A second Educator Summer Experience has been added for July 19-21, 2022, space is limited so register today!

Mississippi FIRST Tech Challenges Closes out 10th Season!


The Mississippi FIRST Tech Challenge season concluded in Houston, TX on April 19-23, 2022, with two teams representing the state of Mississippi at the FIRST World Championship: Teams #8651 - Wait For It... from Pearl, and #14236 - Slight Malfunction from Wesson. These teams competed against 158 other champion teams from around the world. Team #8651, Wait For It... received the Promote Award recognizing their efforts in producing a one-minute public service announcement about FIRST that answered the question: "If there was one thing I would tell my younger self about FIRST it would be..." Planning has started for next season's overall FIRST theme - FIRST ENERGIZESM, presented by Qualcomm. The new FIRST Tech Challenge game is called POWERPLAYSM, presented by Raytheon Technologies. FIRST® Tech Robotics Workshop Information

FIRST® Tech Robotics Workshop

FIRST® Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams build robots from a reusable kit of parts, develop strategies, document their progress, and compete. Students will gain experience designing, programming, and applying math and science concepts. This workshop is a great foundation for students interested in building their robotic skills for academic year competitions.


Dates: July 18 - 22, 2022

Grades: Rising 9th-12th grades

FIRST® LEGO® Robotics Camp

Students will build robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS technology. By solving design challenges, students will learn to build, program, and test autonomous robots. Along the way, they'll work on their communication skills, critical thinking, and collaborative teamwork.
