As we prepare to enter the Easter season, we offer these homily resources prepared from a justice and peace perspective.

Good Friday Stations of the Cross

This year, the meditations for the Stations of the Cross that will be led by Pope Francis on Good Friday come to us in the voices of prisoners, a family affected by a murder, a mother and a daughter of prisoners, a volunteer religious brother, a priest who was accused and then acquitted after many years and others.

The meditations on the Passion of Christ were organized and prepared by the chaplains at “Due Palazzi” House of Detention in Padua, Italy.

The text of these powerful meditations are online here , as well as a video link if you want to accompany Pope Francis on Good Friday. He will lead the Way of the Cross at 9 p.m. (Rome time; 3 p.m. eastern) in front of St. Peter's Basilica.
