Quarterly Newsletter from the Canadian Network of Asset Managers
WINTER 2021 ISSUE
A Message from the CNAM Vice Chair
Across the country we have faced another extraordinary year of personal, professional and social challenges. The global pandemic, economic downturn, natural disasters, turbulent political environments and deeply felt social and racial injustices have impacted us all. We haven’t just survived these past crises, we have emerged stronger and more resilient. This does not alter the fact that just when we thought we were on a path to recovery, we find ourselves pivoting again in all aspects of our lives. My thoughts are with all, regardless of the challenges that they continue to face.

As we move forward, I am hopeful for the future. I remain incredibly grateful to our Board, Executive Director and service providers for their unwavering commitment, hard work, dedication and focus on the needs of our members and the industry. We have pivoted to a renewed model of long term planning and have a greater focus on Strategy, Governance, Oversight and Transparency for our membership. We look forward to sharing new outputs and resources as the upcoming year progresses. Relationships and engagement will remain key and we are looking forward to CNAM’s first hybrid conference “CONNECTIONS: Building an Asset Management Community” ensuring everyone has the opportunity to engage regardless of their regional circumstances and whatever the new normal brings.

I would like to offer my best wishes to everyone. I am also incredibly grateful to all those who have been doing their utmost to ensure service delivery to the most vulnerable in our communities and those in need. 2022 will be another important year of transition to a new way of being. Be mindful and kind as we all take on the challenge of establishing new norms in all aspects of our lives.

Topics will vary from month to month - for January, the session will include:

CNAM 2022 Annual Conference
We are thrilled to announce that the CNAM 2022 Annual Conference will be located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in London, Ontario on May 2-5, 2022!

The past two years have been challenging on many levels but CNAM rose to the challenge and embraced the change to successful virtual events with its 2020 and 2021 Virtual Conferences. We are proud of our community for sticking together through this challenging period.

As we transition back to in-person events, the 2022 Annual Conference will be a hybrid format. This gives you as a guest, the choice of attending in-person or continuing to attend virtually.
