LT2 Team Information

Dear Parents:

We hope you’ve had a lovely puente with your families! This week we highlight a video from the CNG Counseling Team (screencast by HS Counselor, Kate Harvey)  Quick TIps  to kick off our second week of Distance Learning! Over the next week we hope you will find time to watch this helpful 10-minute video. Next week our counseling team will be sending out times to connect virtually with parents at each division to discuss. 

We request parents of PS/ES to sit with their child(ren) and answer the very brief survey that principals will be sending to you. MS/HS students will take this same survey, as will our CNG faculty/staff.

Next week we will be launching a new tab on our CNG Distance Learning libguide focusing on Parent Support during this time of Distance Learning. In looking at our CNG Calendar, we have postponed the following upcoming activities for now:

MS Talent Show

With week #1 of Distance Learning behind us, we have to admit that we are pleasantly surprised thus far!






MS Middle School

Let me be the first to congratulate students and parents on a successful first week of digital learning in the middle school!  This week in virtual classrooms, I saw and heard some creative learning.  Some of our students checked in with their sunglasses on, or introduced the family pet or plans.  I heard instruments being played online and students collaborating with classmates and teachers
ES Elementary School

Dear ES Families,

THANK YOU   for your partnership in support of your children as we all figure out a balance of our school, work, and family time Now is a time to pause, appreciate, and embrace all of the joy we have in our lives. Please communicate your celebrations and your frustrations with us in this journey. Your children bring us joy every day. Thank you, for sharing them with us!
PS Primary School

Dear Primary School Parents!

As school continues to remain closed, more and more parents are finding themselves with an unexpected and challenging new job title: Teacher. Nevertheless, we need to remember that being a teacher at this point is not the biggest of our concerns. We need to be parents. We need to be with our kids. Most importantly, we need to be there for them physically and emotionally, and also let them know that everything will be OK.

We want to thank you for a wonderful first week of Distance Learning. Your support during these times has been critical for your children's success. As we communicated last week, this week we will start one on one interventions for our PS and ES students who receive them. We have all the tools and resources to continue supporting your children grow and develop stronger skills. As always, let's keep open lines of communication so we can assess and adjust as needed. We are committed to supporting your children through this new experience. Together we are stronger!

We have had a great first week starting distance learning. Students have done a wonderful job learning and adjusting to the systems and requirements of their classes. We now need to look to sustaining the momentum we have created.
