CNTR IS OFFICIALLY FIVE YEARS OLD THIS YEAR!

It’s hard to believe, but the Coalition for National Trauma Research is celebrating its Five-Year Anniversary in 2025!

CNTR began in 2014 as a coalition of five research and surgical societies working together to advocate for federal trauma research funding. But it wasn’t until 2020 that the National Trauma Institute formally reorganized to become CNTR, establishing a new Board and articulating a broader mission.

Since then we've grown to 25 member organizations reaching more than 232,000 multidisciplinary trauma research and care professionals and members of the survivor community. We've diversified our portfolio of funded projects, built a suite of essential investigator resources and developed a prioritized trauma research road map to close gaps and save lives.
