Seventh Annual Syracuse National Trial Competition - Request for Judges/Evaluators

Syracuse University College of Law will be hosting the Seventh Annual Syracuse National Trial Competition (SNTC) from Friday, October 17, 2025, through Sunday, October 19, 2025.

SNTC is sponsored by the Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC.

The law schools that have been invited are ranked among the nation's top trial advocacy programs in the country.

SU College of Law is seeking people available to judge or evaluate a round. *if you are available to judge more than one round it would be greatly appreciated*

The competition dates and times are as follows:

The Administrative Board of the Courts is soliciting public comments on the following four proposed amendments to court rules:

• Assignment and transfer of cases: Proposal to amend 22 NYCRR §§ 200.11, 202.3, 205.3, 205.27, 206.3 & 210.3, and to add a new 22 NYCRR § 207.3, regarding the transfer and assignment of cases and judges

• Judicial visits to detention facilities: Proposal to amend Part 17 of the Rules of the Chief Judge to improve the UCS’s program for judicial visitation to detention facilities

• Veterans treatment courts: Proposal to add a new Part 48 to the Rules of the Chief Judge (22 NYCRR Part 48) and a new Part 153 to the Rules of the Chief Administrator (22 NYCRR Part 153) relating to establishment of Veterans Treatment Court parts

• Confidentiality of ADR activities: Proposal to amend 22 NYCRR §§ 160.1(f), 160.2(a), 160.3(a) & 160.5 relating to the confidentiality of alternative dispute resolution activities, and updating the name of the Division of Alternative Dispute Resolution
