Guidelines for Real Estate Services
April 27, 2020
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has released the FIELD SERVICES AND REAL ESTATE Guidelines as of today (April 27th). This allows additional services to open or expand as increased workforce returns.
PPAR, CAR, and NAR will continue to tirelessly advocate on your behalf during this crisis and beyond. The issues and environment are still rapidly changing. Stay informed by frequently visiting the following pages:
The main goal is still to stop the
spread of the virus.
With Great Power...
Don't forget, the CDPHE had also issued the initial direction for the Safe at Home guidelines for real estate. Then someone had a complaint filed against them and the Attorney General's Office interpreted the order to be much stricter. The Real Estate Commission is currently investigating complaints about licensees breaking the Safe at Home guidelines.
These Safer at Home Guidelines can be revoked and real estate shut down if brokers are perceived to be acting irresponsibly.
REALTORS® have a special responsibility to take ALL necessary health and safety precautions, including those ordered by your state or locality, whichever are stricter.

Have a serious talk with your clients about the virus and what Safer at Home means. Provide clients with updated information from the CDC or other reputable sources.

If clients are considered high risk, then encourage them to not risk exposure unnecessarily.

We strongly encourage you to use virtual showings and limit in-person activity. Assume that everyone has the virus and is not following the rules .

PPAR and RSC staff will continue to help you by answering your calls and emails. We will continue to offer online education courses, programs, seminars, committee meetings, SentriLock support and the many other services we have always done to support you.
