We are seeking financial support from businesses and individuals to help sustain our award-winning COVID-19 comfort meal program, which has provided nearly 46,000 restaurant meals to low-income older adults in our service area during the pandemic. The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) has two different programs that offer assistance with home heating costs to low-income Ohioans. Both are currently accepting applications, and older adults or those with disabilities can get help understanding the programs and with applying through COA or one of our partner agencies. If Amazon is your go-to source for holiday shopping, make sure your purchase goes to a good cause! COA is part of the Amazon Smile program, and the company will donate a portion of all your purchases to us. From smile.amazon.com or the Amazon app on your smartphone or tablet, select Council on Aging as your charity of choice. The next Greater Cincinnati Care Partners Panel is scheduled for December 9 at 2 p.m. It will feature a keynote by Teresa Youngstrom, owner of A Better Approach to Memory Care, about "How to Have a Happy Holiday with Dementia."
