COA Society Leader Updates

Happy football season! We don't want to let go of summer quite yet, do we?!? COA has many important updates for you and your society members, so keep on reading.

This communication is being sent to all current society leaders. As always, this is your reminder to please log into your society admin portal to ensure the accurate leadership is listed.

Need a how-to refresher? We've got you covered!

1) Log in to your COA dashboard

2) Access your Society Adm in Portal

3) Make sure your society leadership roster is up-to-date.

Upon first accessing the portal, your current society leadership roster will be displayed. It's important that this is kept up-to-date with leaders' positions, start, and end dates - society leaders are granted special access to sections of the COA website, receive communications like this, plus it's used to verify Project Keep.

Don't see the Admin Portal? That means you are not listed as a current society leader! Reply to this email to let us know.

Membership Staff Change

Tara Figueroa, whom many of you had worked with directly, is no longer employed by COA. But that doesn't mean your society's momentum needs to slow down!

COA's staff and your board and membership team liaisons are here to support you.

Please contact Jodi at jhaas@coavision.org or 916.705.9673 if you had anything pending with your society's recruitment/retention efforts so that COA can continue to support you.

AOSA's Western Regional Conference (WRC) is an annual event that complements the scholastic goals of optometry students in the western states through educational lectures as well as professional and social networking opportunities.

COA is looking for 20 member-ODs to take part in AOA+ Leadership Link and lunch. Please share this opportunity with your members!

COA Society Leader Site

COA publishes a site just for you with TONS of resources.

Most of you already know this site exists, since it is where you submit your CE for approval. But you can also find lots of current information around membership and dues.

Society Admin Portal

If you are set as a society admin, you already have access to your society reports.

Use your COA credentials to log into the portal. By default, all current society leaders are set as administrators, but you can control this setting when updating your leadership roster.

COA provides real-time member and potential member (nonmember) reports for you to view and download. You can also access the current year's new members, dropped members, and more.

COA transfers your society dues to your account the month after they are collected. You can view the payments made each month in this report.
