COABE Ambassador Spotlight

Lynne Hamblin, COABE Ambassador, Oregon

In 2019, Lynne was taking GED prep classes at Rogue Community College where her four-year-old twins were attending Head Start preschool. After one term, classes went from in-person to virtual due to COVID. Lynne was not able to attend online classes due to her two small children and teenage stepson at home. Once in-person classes started again, Lynne was able to return to her GED prep classes. Continue reading Lynne's story to see what she has done since receiving her GED.

Every month, the COABE Compass will spotlight the story of one of our COABE Ambassadors. If you want to learn more about how to become a COABE Ambassador, email [email protected].

A Day at the Capitol

Your voice matters, and legislators want to hear from you. Read about a group of adult learners who met with legislators at West Virginia’s Capitol building.

If you are interested in connecting with legislators and using your voice to bring adult education into the spotlight, reach out to COABE’s Students as Leaders Coordinator at [email protected].
