Meet the Students as Leaders Fellows

At the 2025 Students as Leaders Summit, COABE will have three Students as Leaders Fellows assisting with the event. The fellows will answer questions, lead adult learners to different sessions, and inspire the audience with their stories of success. The three fellows will also receive a stipend of $500 after the conference for their help in making the event a success. Read more about the fellow.

Career Dreamer by Google

Are you struggling to find careers that you are qualified for, or would like to assist others with this search? Grow with Google is now providing a free tool to assist you with this. They are providing a free AI Tool that can help you use your valuable skills and experience to find new career opportunities in your area. This program can help you with wording your cover letter, describing yourself, and creating professional lists of your skills when writing your resume. Google Scholars

The multi-year partnership between COABE and Google resulted in an award for 500 Google Career Certificates in six high growth fields that lead to competitive pay a median wage of $76,000 per year. Throughout the program, Google Scholars are able to access guidance from an experienced mentor and adult education teacher. We congratulate our February certificate completers below.

SOS Fund

Did your car break down and you cannot afford the repairs? Do you have to choose between going to adult education classes or working to pay for heat? We are here to support you so you can stay in class!

COABE’s Educate & Elevate Foundation accepts applications year-round for the SOS (Support Our Students) Fund. Emergency grants are provided to an adult learner to offset an immediate barrier to sustained learning at a local program. Both the adult learner and the local program must be members of COABE.
