Equity & Inclusion - #5
NACE Career Readiness Competencies
According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, equity and inclusion is "demonstrating awareness, attitude, knowledge, and skills required to equitably engage and include people from different local and global cultures." Here are three steps you can take as a Duke to get career-ready:
- Engage in conversations and discussions with individuals from diverse backgrounds to gain different perspectives
- Practice inclusive leadership by creating an environment where all team members feel valued, respected, and empowered
- Stay informed about current events and issues
