All the Good: Praying in Advent
Luke 1:68-79
Pastor's Corner..

December 03, 2021

Dear COF,

We are in the 2nd week of the advent season and our focus is on experiencing God’s peace through prayer. Join us in worship to dive into scripture and praise Jesus!

I am excited to host our Christmas event “Miracle on Teacher Lane” on Dec 11th from 11:00am-1:00pm. This is free event for the community. Bring the family to meet Santa, sip on some hot cocoa, take a hayride, make a craft, and get some lunch from the food trucks. Bring a friend and experience the joy of being together this Christmas season! If you are interested in serving by helping out, please contact [email protected].

See you this weekend!

Thought to Ponder
A prison cell, in which one waits, hopes…and is completely dependent on the fact that the door of freedom has to be opened from the outside, is not a bad picture of Advent.
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Prayer

Come, thou long-expected Jesus,
born to set thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us,
let us find our rest in thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
hope of all the earth thou art;
dear desire of every nation,
joy of every longing heart.

Born thy people to deliver,
born a child and yet a King,
born to reign in us forever,
now thy gracious kingdom bring.
By thine own eternal spirit
rule in all our hearts alone;
by thine all sufficient merit,
raise us to thy glorious throne.

REMINDER:

We can NOT accept donations of any kind at the building. If we find anything left it will have to be discarded. It can not be brought into the building for the safety of the Learning Center staff and students. We do not have the capacity to distribute safely (volunteers or recipients).

Because we recognize intent behind the donations, we encourage you to research organizations that are currently accepting donations and can get them to the people who need them effectively. We thank you for your generous hearts and would hate to see your donation go to waste!

Thank you for your understanding, and we will be certain to let you know when we are able to accept donations again!

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed
by the renewal of your mind.
Romans 12:2

Transformers Youth Ministry is a place where students (6th-12th grade) can form
relationships with their peers, grow in their faith, learn how to connect
with God, and serve the world.
This Sunday:

This Sunday we begin a new series called, Social Media Christmas.
In our clickable, hashtag, selfie media culture, the truth of Christmas still remains:
Jesus came to earth as a baby to become our Savior.
Team 3:16 Campaign:
Church, we need your help. Hard working parents of students who attend our youth ministry struggle every year with saving enough money to send their teens to church summer camp, mission trips and multiple spiritual events. In the book of Acts, the early Christians helped with each other's needs.

Acts 2:44-45 All who believed were together and had all things in
common; they would sell their possessions and goods
and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.

Please become a Team 3:16 Member, and for less than a cup of coffee you can help our students participate in all our youth ministry offers. Visit the Get Connected Table in the lobby or Transformers Youth Table in the hallway for more information. Thank you.
