Cognac, you say? We're still in the dog days of August for Pete's sake.  Well, aren't you all getting a "little" tired of Rose yet?  Come on, I've seen a few of you reach for hearty reds this week.
And, Olivino has the pleasure of hosting Alice Burnez of the House of Prunier.  Her father Stephane Burnez is the cellar master, in a family line of 6 generations.

Tonight from 6-8:30pm Alice will be pouring and educating us on their delicious range of spirits.  We are pouring EIGHT different products and they ALL have an interesting story!  Here's what we've got on the lineup:

Darvelle Freres, Brandy VSOP  All Cognac is brandy, but not all brandy is Cognac, but this example will really impress you at it's friendly price of $21.99

Prunier, Cognac VS  VS cognacs must age a mininum of 2 years, the House of Prunier ages theirs from 3-5 years. $31.99

Marquis de Sauval, Armagnac XO  Brandy from the Armagnac region of Gascony, this one is double distilled lending a rounder fruitier edge to it.  $47.99

Menorval, Calvados XO  Calvados is Brandy made from apples.  $47.99

Prunier, Pineau des Charentes Blanc  I call this "baby cognac"  as it is a fortified wine.  Cognac is added to the grape juice and the result is a lovely aperitif.  $17.99

Prunier, Pineau des Charentes Rouge  The red version has a slight "black cherry" flavor profile.  $17.99

Prunier, Liqueur d'Orange  Put this up against any old triple sec and you won't believe the difference!  In fact, when you use this in your margarita recipe, go easy, as the orange flavor is intense, but ever so delicious!  $17.99

Prunier, Cognac 20yr  This is oh so mellow, and any of you Scotch whiskey drinkers should try this.   We have it in 50ml btls for $11.99

Pheww, isn't this great?!  Hope you all can swing by...

And....Enjoy 5% off the purchase of any of these bottles tonight.
