Don't Miss this fun day of outdoor programs and adventure hosted by the Outdoor Adventure Lab featuring STEM programs, archery, bb, fishing, and much more! Bring friends - you don't need to be a scout to participate!


Tree Planting at Musser - April 18

Thanks to Erie Insurance, we have 100 trees to plant at Musser and would love your help on Friday, April 18 to get them planted!


BALOO & IOLS Training - April 26-27

This in person course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout & Scouts BSA outdoor programs for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack or Troops activities.


Complete Angler Weekend - April 25-27

A weekend focused on learning the skills to earn the fishing, fly fishing and fish & wildlife management merit badges.


Council Annual Dinner - April 28

Join us for the signature event of the year where we recognize the dedicated volunteers for their tremendous dedication to Scouting with the top council-level awards!


Chain Saw Training - May 10

Learn the proper and safe way to use a chainsaw. This is a required training to use a chainsaw on council properties.

Safety Moment - Range & Target Activities

We want to share a reminder about the Range & Target Activity changes that took effect last September. Before taking part in Archery, BB, .22, shotgun, or other range and target activities, be sure to review the Range and Target Activities manual and other important reminders shared on the website.


While there are limited changes at the Cub Scout level, unit leaders in Troops, Crews, Ships, and Posts should review the changes before your next shooting sports activity is planned.

2025 Silver Beaver Award Class & Council Annual Dinner

The Silver Beaver Award is a national award recognizing those adult Scouters who provided distinguished and dedicated service to Scouting on the council-level.


The Cradle of Liberty Council is excited to award the Silver Beaver Award to 6 deserving recipients this year: Maria Cengel, Craig Cless, Robert Johnston, Beverly Lucas, Brett Montich, and Todge Sutkowski.

The Cradle of Liberty Council’s “Ring the Bell” program recognizes best-in-class units that take specific actions in five different areas throughout the calendar year: safety, training, program, membership, and fundraising. Criteria are based on best practices and help ensure that we’re working together to foster safe, positive experiences for our members. The more bells your unit rings, the more recognition your unit receives!

Webelos & AOL Week at Resica Falls

Are you currently a Bear or Webelos looking for more excitement this Summer? Have you ever wanted to camp-out in a tent and experience the FUN of Scout camp?

All Scouts who will be in 4th or 5th grade in the Fall are invited to join us at Resica Falls from July 27-Aug. 2 for Webelos & AOL Week.

This is going to be a mountain-top experience for those who participate. You'll get a full camp experience including sleeping in a tent, eating in the dining hall, and enjoying program!

Resica Falls offers a provisional camp opportunity where you can register individually and participate as part of our "Troop 1" contingent at camp. Provo campers can still participate in all of the fun that Resica has to offer, and meet new friends during the week in camp!

NYLT Courses - Premier Youth Leadership Training

NYLT – the National Youth Leadership Training – is Scouting’s premier leadership development course for young people in our program. NYLT works to instill core leadership concepts and offer fundamental leadership tools and techniques applicable in a variety of real-work contexts, especially in their home Troop, Crew or Ship. Upcoming courses are taking place at Camp Hart during the following dates:

Ring the Bell for Safety – Attend Incident Reduction & Reporting Training

One of the three criteria to qualify for the Safety section of the Ring the Bell Unit Recognition Program is for at least half of your unit's direct contact leaders (DCLs) to complete Incident Reduction and Reporting training.

 

This training is a free course that provides an overview of our organization’s safety policies, resources, and reporting procedures. This course is offered as a one-hour in-person or virtual instructor-led training via Zoom webinar to make it as convenient as possible. Registration is required.

2026 National Jamboree - Save Your Spot!

The next National Jamboree will take place from July 22-31, 2026 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The theme for the 2026 National Jamboree is "Elevate." This theme is focused on preparing Scouts for a life of purpose and impact as they participate in the once-in-a-lifetime experience of the Jamboree.


We plan to send six troops as part of the COL contingent, with the price being $2,300 per person. Financial aid is available both from the National Jamboree and locally, so don't let financial ability stop you from applying.

The Outdoor Adventure Lab is a subsidiary of the council with the goal of harnessing the benefits of the outdoor education to provide programs such as field trips, weekend programs, and STEM Adventure Day Camp that allow youth and adults to develop character, leadership, and confidence.
