All Scouts and Scout leaders—as representatives of an organization whose motto is “Be Prepared”—should be sure they are always ready with an appropriate first-aid kit when it’s needed. Your kit might be simple or more complex if you are trained to use it properly. But the kit must always be on hand and stocked with every essential item.

We want to make our Scouting community aware of a change we are making for credit/debut card transactions. As of Tuesday, February 17, we have included the credit/debit card processing fee as an additional charge on card transactions. We recognize that this is an additional cost on our units and families - if you prefer to not pay the credit/debit card transaction fee, you are able to use the eCheck option when paying online, or you can pay with a check or cash at the council office.

In other words, a trained leader is better prepared to make Scouting all it can be!

This camp will be a fun, hands-on week of learning and adventure! Philmont Scout Ranch provides an unforgettable adventure in sky-high backpacking country along hundreds of miles of rugged, rocky trails. Program features combine the best of the Old West – horseback riding, burro packing, gold panning, chuck wagon dinners, and interpretive history – with exciting challenges for today, such as rock climbing, burro racing, mountain biking, and .30-06 rifle shooting. It’s an unbeatable recipe for fast-moving fun and the outdoors.

The Outdoor Adventure Lab is a program of the Cradle of Liberty Council, with the goal of harnessing the benefits of the outdoor education for all youth! We offer engaging and fun programs for teachers and school administrators to use Musser Scout Reservation for your next Field Trip! A weekend focused on learning the skills to earn the fishing, fly fishing and fish & wildlife management merit badges. During the weekend Scouts will learn to cast a fly rod, clean a fish, tie flies, conservation practices and other skills. Once the merit badges are complete the Scout can earn the Complete Angler award by making a fishing presentation to their unit, pack, ship or post

More than 80 merit badges have been updated to help Scouts explore modern careers and hobbies, build practical skills, and engage with current topics while preserving the traditions of Scouting

The updated requirements are now live in Scoutbook and on the online Merit Badge Hub. Scouts who began a merit badge on or after January 1, 2026 must use the new requirements. Scouts who started before that date may finish using the previous requirements or choose to switch to the updated version.

Good news - my.Scouting.org now allows for NRA and USA Archery certifications to be recorded in your my.Scouting profile! To be able to connect units interested in a Range program with certified instructors, we are asking anyone with an active certification to submit it so we can add it to your profile. We have opportunities to spend the full-summer away at Resica Falls, or help for part of the summer during the day at Musser Day Camps!

Consider joining the Adopt-a-Cabin/Campsite program at Musser! Units who adopt a cabin or campsite help us to revitalize camp, and get free camping weekends as a thanks for their service.
