2022 Silver Beaver Class Announced
The Silver Beaver Award is a national award recognizing those adult Scouters who provided distinguished and dedicated service to Scouting on the council-level. The Cradle of Liberty Council is excited to award the Silver Beaver Award to 7 deserving recipients this year: Bobby Burkhart, Tom Finley, Jim Foster, Patricia Green, Ed Grivner, Gary Hodge Sr., and Dave Mulvey.

Join us on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Council Annual Dinner as we recognize these great Scouters and many more for their work and efforts in supporting Scouting in the Cradle of Liberty Council. Registration and details coming soon!

Cub Scout Summer Day Camps
We have Community Day Camps focused on safety and fun throughout the Delaware Valley for boys and girls entering first through fifth grade in September 2022. This year's theme is Medieval Adventures, where Cubs will travel back in time of Kings and Queens to enjoy a fun interactive experience!

Wood Badge - Premier Adult Leadership Training
Want to Enhance Your Leadership Skills? Join us August 26-28 & September 10-11 for a fun, exciting, and action packed program! Wood badge is designed to provide members with leadership skills and experiences they can use in Scouting, business, and life. The course teaches the best in modern leadership theories in the context of traditional Scouting activities.
NYLT - Premier Youth Leadership Training
Want to help your Scouts & Venturers enhance their Leadership Skills? NYLT centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what they must KNOW, and what they must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the meaning of Leadership.
Monthly Merit Badge Workshops
We will be hosting monthly Merit Badge workshops to help Scouts looking to learn more and advance along the Scouting trail!
Our first session, on March 26, will feature Citizenship in Community, Nation, and World. Classes will be 9:00am – 12:00pm and 12:30–3:30pm.
Each MB is only one session, so Scouts can take up to two badges each day, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon.
Emergency Preparedness Event
Being prepared is a core component of Scouting, and we are hosting an event to help Scouts learn how to prepare for every-day emergencies that can occur.

Join us April 29-May 1 at Camp Hart and have a chance for your Cubs and Scouts to learn about emergency service gear and vehicles, have a chance to work on a merit badge, and participate in shooting sports! You can participate for the day or stay all weekend!
Upcoming STEM Programs at Cobbs Creek
The COL STEM/Nova Committee is happy to offer monthly Nova Award programming for both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA at the Cobbs Creek Environmental Center. These awards are great opportunities for scouts to explore STEM within the scouting program.
The cost for each Nova Award session is $10 per scout and all of the requirements will be completed during these sessions, except for the Merit Badge requirement for Scouts BSA, see requirements here and for more information and to register visit https://colbsa.org/stemnova.
Give-Back in Service to Our Camps
We are fortunate to have two beautiful Scout Reservations, and we need your help to keep them maintained and ready to welcome Scouts! Both Resica Falls and Musser have work days scheduled this Winter and Spring, and we'd love to have you join us! If you are helping for the day Saturday, ask about how to get a campsite for free that weekend!

Jewish Committee on Scouting Reminders
The Jewish Committee on Scouting is proud to share about their upcoming programs and financial aid opportunities for 2022. There are several opportunities for Jewish Scouts to participate in excellent religious programs such as Kinnus, religious awards, and many financial aid opportunities.
2023 National Scout Jamboree
The Jamboree is a gathering of approximately 45,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff that showcases everything that is great about the BSA and its members. Over the course of 10 summer days, once every four years, the Boy Scouts of America comes together.

2nd Annual Sousa Bowl
Join the Cradle of Liberty Council and shooters from across the region on March 5 to compete in the 2nd annual Sousa Bowl, honoring none other than the father of trap shooting, John Philip Sousa!

Pricing per shooter starts at $150 and includes ammo, clays, lunch and entertainment.

Must be 18 years or older to participate.
