We know, it's very strange to have a dealer tell you that prices are increasing this year. Unfortunately this is the sad truth and It's not just Ammotac but all ammunition manufacturers and dealers.
WHY DO WE KNOW THIS?
We know this through placing our orders. We have seen an average of about a 2% increase in our beginning of the year orders. This change took effect Jan 1st 2023.
BUT I'VE FOUND GREAT DEALS LATELY, AMMO PRICES HAVE BEEN COMING DOWN!
Yes we are seeing some great deals on ammunition online, and aftermarket. However, these prices are not due to lower cost to make ammunition. The decrease in pricing has been due to a couple factors.
- Many citizens panic purchased during covid. They are now needing to pay bills as the economy continues to have turmoil. They are now selling their ammunition at a drastic discount.
- There have been ammunition companies/dealers that have gone out of business and their inventory has been purchased by other dealers for pennies on the dollar. Allowing the acquiring dealer to advertise and have low prices for that inventory. This is where you can find great deals however, this will not last very long. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE DEALS RIGHT NOW!
- Material costs to make ammunition have not been decreasing. This is the main key economic factor in the cost of ammunition. Prices cannot decrease without cost to manufacture decreasing.
