The internationally-acclaimed hit theater show, The Simon & Garfunkel Story will stop by The Capitol Theatre on February 19, 2022, at 8 pm during the coast-to-coast U.S. tour. The immersive concert-style theater show chronicles the amazing journey shared by the folk-rock duo, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. It tells the story from their humble beginnings as Tom & Jerry to their incredible success as one of the best-selling music groups of the ‘60s to their dramatic split in 1970. It culminates with the famous “The Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 with more than half a million fans in attendance.

The Capitol Theatre, a faithfully restored 1,575 seat historic theatre in Downtown Flint, provides an iconic atmosphere for a weekly line-up of concerts and movies. The Capitol Theatre is operated by the Flint Institute of Music as one of its five distinctive performing arts venues, alongside; the Whiting Auditorium, Elgood Theatre, Bower Theater, and MacArthur Recital Hall. FIM programs also include the Flint School of Performing Arts, Flint Repertory Theatre, Music Around Town, and Whiting Presents, a seasonal presentation of national and international performing artists. Programming is funded in part by the Genesee County Arts Education & Cultural Enrichment Millage.
