'Stages of Faith' Classes Continue

We will be exploring the Stages of Faith with Dr. Kate Rankin in February.

Just as our human development follows fairly predictable stages and seasons, a similar dynamic is at work in our spiritual journey.

Kate Rankin, PhD, Professor and Psychologist, UCSF Department of Neurology, guides us to explore these seasons of spiritual development using the influential work of Janet Hagberg and Robert Guelich in their book The Critical Journey: Stages in the Life of Faith.

Remaining classes will take place starting at 11:15am in the Chapel on February 12 and February 19. Contact Don Ashburn at [email protected]

Livewire Bags 500 Lunches

Recently, part of our Livewire middle school gang went to CityTeam's newly renovated facility in Oakland and made another 100 bag lunches, bringing our total to 500 this school year. The experience was a bit more “real” since we were able to interact with some of the residents and those coming for a free lunch and other helpful items for those who are struggling with homelessness.

This is part of the monthly service opportunities Livewire offers students, and they enjoy serving. Pictured are Lucian Fang-Ring, Beach Lorin, Claire Aubrecht and Evie Hicks.

Discover the Enneagram

Friday & Saturday, March 3, 4

In recent years, many Christians are turning to an ancient tool called the Enneagram to understand how personality type relates to emotional and spiritual growth.

Those who’ve studied the Enneagram are often amazed at how much insight they gain about themselves and how they relate to the world.

On Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 Piedmont Church will welcome Kim Watson, a certified Enneagram teacher and expert on life transitions, to lead a two-day workshop.

Both sessions will meet in the Christian Education Building Chapel – on Friday from 6:30 to 8 pm, and on Saturday from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Refreshments will be served at both.

Cost is $40 per participant, for which you will also receive a copy of the book The Enneagram Guide to Waking Up, by Beatrice Chestnut and Uranio Paes. Space is limited to 25 participants.
