SPRING 2026
Dear Friends, Colleagues and Supporters,
Here we are in the fourth month of 2026. Although life can be a little challenging and crazy at times, we still have to live our own lives and do what is best for us. So, how did you start the new year and how did the first quarter go, other than quickly? Did you begin with a journal writing down what you were going to do differently or achieve? When you achieve the goal, what will it mean to your life? Do you expect it to happen fast or is it long term? How real is it and do you believe that it will happen?
The things I wrote in my journal were – joy, peace, fulfillment, love and kindness. Something I really need at this time. I also wrote more physical things like, writing more, getting more involved in something meaningful, being healthier, etc. So far, it’s been somewhat of a challenge. But then, if everything were easy, it wouldn’t mean that much to us.
Among the factors that are important to realizing your goals and dreams are: Clarity of outcome, laser focus, action steps and absolute belief that it will happen.
WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN?
This is not a religious question. However, it is spiritual. Do you believe in something greater than you, a higher power? I do! I know that there is something greater than me as I have experienced the feeling when I am writing or speaking. Thoughts just show up in my head, or words come out of my mouth very easily. Have you ever felt it? You are your greatest asset or your biggest obstacle. Thoughts become things, what do you think about? Do you have a lot of self-doubt or lack of self-trust? Are your thoughts positive or negative? Often negative thoughts, drive our actions, are imbedded in our subconscious and are from childhood experiences or past lives, if you believe in them. They become part of how we react in life and how well we realize our dreams and goals. You can change the negative. Believing in you is key! Do you believe in you?
INTENTION
When you awake each day, do you do so with intention? Intention is not just the list of things you are going to do, but how you want to feel and act. Do you aim for a positive outcome? Is it your intention to achieve those desires that you wrote down at the beginning of the year? You may begin with good intentions, but then life gets in the way. I just spent the month of February in Florida in the sunshine again this year, while those in New Jersey were in a deep freeze with tons of snow. I walked a lot in Florida and my intention was to come home, get into a new workout routine, and better shape. Last year I came home with a broken toe. This year my intention was to be very careful and come home injury free. Then I had a mishap and ended up with bruised foot, nothing broken. I am hopeful that this won’t take long to heal. My intention is to trust in the universe and resume my plan soon. What is your intention?
COMMITMENT
A commitment is a promise or agreement or obligation to do something in the future. What is the one thing you truly want to happen, to which you are absolutely committed? You can have others, but what is the one big thing? How committed are you? Whatever you want, and you can want anything, you must be all in for it to happen, and truly believe that it will. To manifest anything, you must be absolutely clear on what it is and how you see your life after it happens. Sometimes, there is a fear of success and how it will change our lives. But, if you are happy with the proposed outcome, then begin acting as though it has already happened. Make the commitment and witness what happens.
COMMITTED TO YOU
How committed are you to you? If you aren’t committed to you, then all the wishes and intentions are for naught. Broken promises, particularly those that you make to yourself, which are the most important, and can be the most damaging. It’s okay to put yourself first - vote for you. When I was in high school I was nominated for Homecoming Queen and lost by one vote, my own. I voted for the other person because I thought it was wrong to vote for myself. ALWAYS VOTE FOR YOU! You must take care of yourself and not always acquiesce to others. When you are committed to you, you can still do something for someone else that you don’t really want to do, but you will do it consciously. And you can tell the person nicely by saying, “I will do this for you because I care about you and it is important to you. It is not what I want to be doing.” You are the most important person in your life. Always vote for you.
HABITS/RITUALS
As you review what you are committed to, and what you want for you, create some rituals and habits to help you realize it. You might get up in the morning and write what you are grateful for. Or you may write down your intention for the day. You can say, “I am going to do something nice for someone today, or I am going to love me unconditionally today.” You can meditate, play word games, exercise, read, whatever helps you start your day on a positive note. The New York Times recently published an article called "The Good List." Each day you write down what is GOOD today, or what was GOOD yesterday in your life. It causes you to focus on the positive and helps to remove the negative. Add it to your routine and see if it makes a difference. When you do something for 30 days it becomes a habit, which is much harder to break. Always do what is best for you and always be grateful.
Thank you for letting me share my thoughts. It was my intention today to do something that might inspire you to be more positive. I hope that you enjoyed this reminder and that something resonates with you. I am so grateful for all of you who take the time to read these newsletters and then send me your comments.
May the rest of your day and life be filled with love, laughter, joy, fulfillment and so much more. See you soon.
“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When
you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses - only results.”
― Ken Blanchard
