COMMUNITIES OF FAITH & RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS
RESPOND TO VLADIMIR PUTIN'S INVASION OF UKRAINE
AND THE ENSUING HUMANITARIAN CRISIS

Wednesday, March 16, 2022: As the world looks on in disbelief at Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing humanitarian crisis, people of faith are united in decrying these acts of violence, aggression and human rights violations.

The San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC) counts as its constituents the 800 congregations in the City and County of San Francisco, their respective judicatories, sectarian health care and educational institutions, as well as the faith-based social service agencies that provide the social safety net for our most vulnerable residents.

We invite you to read the following statements submitted by faith and religious institution leaders by visiting the links below:

In times of crisis the San Francisco Interfaith Council encourages its constituents to support the critical, time sensitive, on-the-ground aid work being undertaken by the myriad of faith-based humanitarian aid organizations. Congregations and individuals wishing to make online donations to the agency of their choice, are directed to the "Humanitarian Aid" link on the SFIC website noted below:
