Community Call to Action!
Day 2
The rallying of our community tonight behind 24 Domino's delivery drivers unjustly fired from their jobs was outstanding. It was the outpouring of support from so many in our Norther Manhattan community, from all backgrounds, that makes me so proud to represent this area.
After attempting to speak to the owner of the franchise, we were rebuffed and the workers were left without a job for another day. This means they cannot buy food for themselves and their families, they cannot afford Christmas presents for their children and they must continue to face the stressful situation of being unemployed for the sole reason of standing up against unjust harassment.
But we proved tonight that in Northern Manhattan, we will not stand for this treatment of workers. We are committed to continuing this struggle until the workers are reinstated and respected!
Join us again tomorrow night and bring your friends, neighbors, community groups, churches, synagogues, fellow school parents and anyone else you can think of, as we stand for justice and the rights of workers!
Where: Domino's Pizza, 735 West 181st Street (between Broadway and Fort Washington Avenue)
When: Tuesday, December 9th. 6:00 PM
