The USCC's Annual Conference and Trade Show is the largest professional meeting for the composting industryand we want YOU to attend.

We want all members of the compost industry to be able to grow with us at COMPOST2026, but we recognize the financial burden that attendance can present.


To increase access to COMPOST2026 for as many members of the composting industry as possible, USCC is offering


scholarships of up to $1,500


to assist in covering the cost of:

  • Travel to COMPOST2026 and lodging for up to three nights in Sacramento
  • USCC Conference registration, including access to 100+ industry speakers, the trade show hall, Demo Day, and more


Scholarships will be awarded to: 

  1. those demonstrating financial need
  2. Those whose work expands access to composting in areas or communities where access is limited.

These scholarships are brought to you by the USCC Composting for All Committee, with help from the 11th Hour Project.


Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. A first round of selection will occur after September 30th, 2025. Funds are limited, and early application is encouraged.


The application will close on November 15th, 2025. Final recipients will be notified by December 5th, 2025.

Reimbursement for those selected is as follows:

  • Conference registration will be waived at point of registration
  • Remaining funds covering travel and lodging will be reimbursed within 30 days of the conference


Scholarship recipients may also opt to volunteer for the conference to waive the registration fee and use their entire scholarship for travel and lodging funds. Please join the COMPOST2026 General Interest List to receive information on registration and volunteering when it is released.
