If any dancer is limited to the number of competition groups they can partake in and didn't get it written down at tryouts they need to email the studio by Friday, June 19th, as we plan to organize groups soon. EMAIL ONLY PLEASE. fusiondancecarrollia@gmail.com If we are notified any later than the given deadline, then you will be charged a $100 fee/dance due to the amount of time and organizing that goes into planning these groups. Once groups are decided, they are FINAL.
What to expect with competition:
Cost: Last year's cost was $550 per routine (includes costume, rehearsal time, choreography, and 3 competition registration fees). Once the competitions release their registration fees, we will be able to give everyone an exact price. Hoping to have this information to you all by the time we announce groups. There is an additional cost to be a part of a group with a Guest Choreographer. Please read the red paragraph below for more information regarding that.
Additional Classes: ALL competition dancers are REQUIRED to participate in ballet technique. Cost is $25/month. As well students must participate in an additional, recreational class for every competition group they are placed in. For example: your dancer is grouped in a hip hop, jazz and lyrical competition group. They must also take a recreational hip hop class, ballet technique, and their regular, recreational combo class. If your dancer is grouped in jazz and lyrical, they must also take ballet technique and their regular, recreational combo class. We also have a Flexibility, Extensions & Conditioning class and Turns, Leaps & Jumps class that would greatly benefit our competition students. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE our dancers to sign up for these classes!
Team Activities: The Fusion Dance Parent Club puts on various activities and events for the competition team throughout the dance season. Each competition dancer will need to pay a $30 fee to participate. Some of the events include a Pool Party, Holiday Party, Competition Team Showcase, Adventureland, and so much more! Stay tuned for details regarding our Pool Party Kick-Off!

MUSE Workshop: It is MANDATORY that all competition dancers attend the MUSE Workshop. Every competition dancer has already been registered for this workshop. This year's workshop is August 15th & 16th in Carroll at Fusion Dance.
Tentative Workshop Schedule:
- 1st-3rd Grade: 9am-12:30pm
- 4th-5th Grade: 9am-12:30pm
- 6th-8th Grade: 1pm-7pm
- 9th-12th Grade: 1pm-7pm
More details such as class styles and instructors to come later.

MUSE Workshop Cost Options:
Option 1: Cost is $190, cash or check, due July 31st.
Option 2: OR, if you want payment to be charged to your account, it will be $195, taken out automatically on August 1st.
NO VENMO ALLOWED.
Guest Choreography: If your dancer is selected to be a part of a group with a guest choreographer, there will be an additional charge for each dancer in these groups. This is due to the increase in their choreography costs. If this is a major issue, please contact us and we will make sure your dancer is not put into one of these groups.

- MUSE Choreography, August 11th-14th in Carroll & August 17th-18th in Omaha.
Summer Classes: We are requiring our competition dancers (entering 5th grade Fall of 2026 and up) to attend at the very least, 8 punch pass classes this summer. 3 of the 8 must be Ballet Technique. We strongly encourage our competitive dancers to continue their training throughout the summer months, and a great way to do that is to attend classes! It also helps to prepare our dancers for the MUSE Workshop in August! Click HERE to register for summer classes today.
