Discussion Circles
This week
Join in a facilitated conversation ahead of the Business Forum and Business Meeting. These Circles are a time to ask questions and suggest changes. Your ideas will be passed on to the authors of the motions or reports. Any modifications they make to the original will be presented at the Business Forum. This is an opportunity to move us towards consensus as we come to General Conference Business.

HELLO from YOUR Church
During the Live Welcome of General Conference, we have an opportunity to travel the world with a virtual roll call! Submit your video (less than 20 seconds) with your church saying "Hello from ____ with people from your church waving hello! Just give the name of your church or community, city and country. Please video in Landscape or widescreen mode.
SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO ASAP!
An Update from the Council of Elders
The Council of Elders has made a change in the frequency of the Call to Prayer. Until Advent, the Council of Elders will share a monthly, rather than weekly, Call to Prayer. This will provide some relief to our volunteer translators and staff who have been preparing the weekly prayers. In Advent, the Elders will provide a weekly video and written prayer reflection.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted a prayer over the last several years and to those who have shared the prayers with their congregations. Thank you also to our volunteer translators in Portuguese, Spanish and German for all of their work, and to MCC staff member, Janine McCarthy, who has prepared the prayers and distributed them.

Crafting Spiritual Communities Beyond COVID
October 28-29, 2022 | 3D Interactive Virtual Conference

Our spiritual communities have forever changed these past few years.
COVID has luminated the best (and worst) aspects of our spirituality, perhaps forever changing how communities will gather, communicate, and offer support to their members and beyond. Spirituality, at its best, offers personal growth, inner peace, and indomitable hope. How will our spiritual communities meet these needs and communicate to the broader world that our faith based hubs are committed to such healing work? Some of the best progressive spiritual leaders of our time will help us envision a spiritual message and mission for the needs of our day rather simply recycling the ways and words of the past.
Sunshine Cathedral Lumination: The Visioning Conference will create a space for exploration, conversation, and crafting of visions of what our spiritual communities will look like after COVID.
