Reflecting on your undergraduate experience, what are a few benefits of hiring a ‘first-time’ co-op student?

I have been consistently amazed by the positive reviews I've received from employers about their experiences working with first-time co-op students. Before their first co-op, Northeastern's BUSN1103 course prepares students for the professional world: from mock interviews, to the importance of time management, to dress codes, and communicating effectively with managers.

In my experience, each student enters their first co-op with an intense drive to prove themselves. This was exactly my experience during my first co-op as an RFP writer at Amundi Pioneer Asset Management. I was prepared for the fundamentals in BUSN1103 and was then driven to work as hard as I could to build my experience, make connections, and earn references to build the foundation of my career. It was an amazing way to start my professional journey. I've been pleased to see the Amundi co-op program continue to thrive and expand!
