DECEMBER 2024

FAREWELL FROM VICKI BARGAGLIOTTI

After 16 unforgettable years as a proud Pilot, I’ve made the deeply bittersweet decision to close this chapter of my journey at SJND. While it’s hard to say goodbye to a place that has meant so much to me, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be starting a new chapter with Rosenblatt Advisors in Castro Valley.

Being part of this extraordinary community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Watching the transformative impact of an SJND education and witnessing the incredible accomplishments of our alumni has been nothing short of inspiring.

To our amazing alumni: you are the heartbeat of this community. My hope is that you continue to uplift and champion SJND students and each other, preserving the legacy of excellence, unity, and support that makes this place so special.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being such a meaningful and integral part of my journey. This isn’t goodbye—it’s see you later. Once a Pilot, always a Pilot!

HISTORIC SEASON FOR LADY PILOTS VOLLEYBALL TEAM

Congratulations to our Girls Varsity Volleyball team who made history by winning the school’s first NCS (North Coast Section) Division III Girls Volleyball Championship in November. We are extremely proud of the amazing season these ladies had under Coach Allan Nguyen. Our Pilots (31-7) claimed this title after a 3-0 sweep over Bethel High School.

10TH ANNUAL DREAM FLIGHT RAISES OVER $200,000

Our 10th annual Dream Flight Gala was nothing short of spectacular! With a fantastic turnout and record-breaking generosity, the Claremont Country Club Ballroom in Oakland came alive with the spirit of SJND, welcoming alumni, alumni parents, and friends from far and wide.

A heartfelt thank you to the Kelly Family (classes of '51, '76, '79, and '80) for their incredible sponsorship of this event. Also congratulations to the Kelly Family who received the Christi Matri Award, whose contributions exemplify the very best of what it means to be a Pilot.

The evening was a celebration of community and hope, from the beautiful music performed by our talented students during the cocktail hour to the inspiring words of Al Harris '04, Natalia Barretero '28, and Rosaleen Collins Kelly '51. Our Masters of Ceremonies, Mike Pola '82 and Harrison Wilkes '03, brought warmth and energy to the event, reminding us all of the power of coming together in support of a shared vision.

On behalf of our students, faculty, and staff, thank you for your generosity, enthusiasm, and belief in the power of education. View the photos from Dream Flight 2024.
