JULY PROGRAM UPDATE
SENIOR SERVICES

Homemakers and Health Services offers services to AGE IN PLACE -- Aging in place refers to the ability of any person to grow old in their own home or that of their family. Almost 50% of the older adults that we serve are over 80 years of age. Since Easterseals began this service 15 years ago, we have seen significant growth, serving 350+ individuals this year alone.

Our statewide, home care services are designed to provide assistance with those activities that older adults may need help with in order to be able to stay at home safely and with dignity. Our home care services may include fall prevention, medication reminders, light housekeeping, grooming or bathing assistance, companionship, dementia care and running errands. For more information call 603.621.3497 or visit our website .

Preventing Heat Emergencies:
  • Limit your time outside.
  • Stay hydrated – water is best.\
  • Avoid hard physical labor/exercise as much as possible, especially during the hottest part of the day.
  • Wear light-weight clothing.
  • Seek medical help if you begin to feel ill. Check in on relatives and neighbors too.
