A free lunch and a free book!
Greetings!

Life is hard, especially now, so how about some free stuff?

This Sunday, August 29, we are having a picnic at Garner Park at 11:30, with free food. More info below.

And in September, we're doing a sermon series and small group series based on an excellent book, The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life.
We have books available at church. If you need someone to bring you a copy, let us know! Seriously. Funding for these books comes from the Jim and Pauline Sparks Adult Education Fund.

God's love is free too! Don't forget you are a beloved child of God.

On the journey together,

Charlie

Church Picnic at Garner Park this Sunday at 11:30! Free lunch!

Join us at Garner Park on August 29 for a Covenant family picnic! The picnic will start at 11:30AM, and we will have free (individually packaged) lunch and beverages provided by Jason’s Deli!

Garner Park is home to a wonderful playground, and also some of Madison’s finest Pickleball Courts. Bring your Pickleball equipment if you’re interested in playing a round or two with your church family. We’ll also have a rousing game of kickball! For those of you who would prefer to hang back in the shade, we’ll play Bingo for the highest stakes imaginable (bragging rights). Come ready to have fun with your church family! Wear your Covenant t-shirt!
Speaking of wearing your Covenant t-shirt...

We have a fresh crop of Covenant T-shirts in stock! If you haven’t ordered yours as yet, they will be available for sale the next few Sundays and during the week, just in time for wearing to the picnic! Shirts are $7.00 each and we have adult and children sizes.
Sign up for Small Groups in September!

This September, starting the week of the 12th, you will have a chance to join other members and friends of Covenant for weekly small groups. Some of the groups will be in person and some of the groups will be held via Zoom. Visit this link to learn more and to choose a date/time that works best for you!
The groups will follow our September sermon series, "Getting Back on Track: Together on the Journey," and will incorporate themes and passages from The Walk by Adam Hamilton.

We encourage everyone to read this short and accessible book, although you don't have to read it to be in a small group. We have FREE copies available. Grab a copy from the gathering space, or contact the church office.
Covenant members Jenny Von Bergen and Brenda Moten featured in Presbyterians Today for their work with the Racist Anonymous Fellowship group!

Join us this Sunday for our last Summer Sunday Scripture Study!

Meet with Covenant friends this Sunday from 9:30-10:15 for an informal, free-flowing conversation about the Bible text for the day’s sermon. We’ll meet in Bradfield Hall. BYO coffee.
