Call for Submissions: Exhibit on Queen Street West 

for CONTACT 2015

 

Submission Deadline: November 10, 2014
Artists will be notified by December 1, 2014

 

Looking for a venue to hold an Open Exhibition in? The Queen Street West Business Improvement Area (BIA) will be hosting Open Exhibitions as part of CONTACT 2015. Submit your photographs for an opportunity to exhibit in one of several selected venues on Queen Street West, between University Avenue and Bathurst Street.

 

The Open Exhibitions provide a non-juried platform for artists, from emerging to established, to exhibit their work. These exhibitions include a wide range of projects, promote independent artists and collectives, and facilitate community collaboration. Register your exhibition to be part of this citywide celebration of photography.


 

How to apply:

 

Please submit the following by email:

1. INFO: Your name, phone number, and email address
2. IMAGES: A minimum of 10 digital files of works proposed for the exhibition (jpeg format, no larger than 1024 x 768 pixels). Images should be numbered 01 - 10 (01_tree, 02_house, etc.)
3. IMAGE LIST: Image list indicating title, year, medium and dimensions
4. DESCRIPTION: 75-word description of your work (please write in third person)
5. BIO/CV: Curriculum vitae, resume, or biography

Artists whose work is selected by the Queen Street West BIA must register the exhibition on the CONTACT website. A fee will apply for exhibition registration, to be paid by the artist to CONTACT. The artist is responsible for arranging exhibition details with their assigned venue, and also for printing, framing, and installing their artworks.
