CONY Expo: November 1st - Forward Thinking!

General Session and Breakout Sessions to Get You Forward Thinking!

Forward Thinking in the Outdoor Hospitality Industry. Kathleen Walsh, President & CEO, Advanced Outdoor Solutions, LLC. In this general session during breakfast, Kathleen will touch on new technologies and practices for forward thinking in parks. Kathleen has been at the forefront of the Outdoor Hospitality since 2003 when she developed her first multi-million-dollar beachfront property. She has since developed and managed over $500 million in RV Park and Campground investments across the country. Kathleen served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for a large Hotel and RV development company before branching out on her own. She currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Advanced Outdoor Solutions, a full-service management company specifically focused on the Outdoor Hospitality Industry.

Forward Thinking in Guest Services - EV Charging Stations. Will DeRuve, Director of Sales, Livingston Energy Group, A Lynkwell Company. This breakout session will inform and educate park operators about the emerging EV industry as a whole, plus how charging station functions, and what options might be best for operators considering putting them in their parks, as well as advocating to get more installed in their rural locales. What are some of the challenges? What are some of the benefits? What are the next steps for "forward thinking" businesspeople considering services and amenities for their parks?

Kathleen Walsh

CONY Auction Now Open on Bid Beacon

Contact Ed Marden if you'd like to register for the app or submit an auction item

CONY's online "silent" auction is now live with a few items up for bid. MORE items and services will be added as the days get closer to the CONY Expo, so be sure to get your access to BID BEACON, the auction app we're using, so you'll get notices when new items come in and if anyone is outbidding you. How do you do that?

Contact CONY Auction chairperson Ed Marden at Camp Bell Campground. Email him at [email protected] or call the park at (607) 527-3301. He'll set you up with an auction invite.

Anyone can bid on the silent auction, even if you're not attending Expo (although we hope you do).

Would you like to donate a product or service? Contact Ed or bring it to the Expo registration desk by Noon on Tuesday, November 1st.

Vendors attending expo are welcome to come to the live auction on Tuesday, November 1, starting about 8pm, at the Renaissance Albany Hotel ballroom.

CONY Partners with RVshare to Promote RV Rentals and Camping an NY Parks

CONY and RVshare have entered into a marketing partnership to help bring awareness about both entities to consumers and park operators.

More details will be forthcoming at the CONY Expo in a couple weeks, but promotions have already begun to encourage consumers to reserve RVs using a special CONY link, and to inform CONY park operators about the RVshare Partnership Program.

RVshare is the largest online community for RV renters and owners with a diverse selection of vehicles for rent across the US, ranging from luxury motorhomes to cozy camper vans. Campgrounds can enroll with RVshare to help increase RV campsite reservations and earn additional revenue from completed RV bookings, among many other benefits.

A link to the RVshare Partnership Program is posted here, as well as on the Marketing Opportunities page at www.campnewyork.com/marketing-opportunities/. Links to the consumer rental pages are also online on our website homepage at www.CampNewYork.com
