COOS News December 3, 2019
Dear COOS Families & Friends,

We all hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! A few of the teacher's and I attended the Lutheran Educators Conference (LEC) in Palm Springs. We had classes, fancy parties and lots of time together! A big thank you to everyone donated during the month of November to our food drive. Thank you to Shannon McLendon for delivering the food to the LAX food pantry today!!

December is here and we have so many fun activities planned!

-Tomorrow, December 4th is our first of three soup suppers from 5pm to 6pm. Come any time during the hour for some warm soup and fellowship. At 6pm we will have our Advent service which lasts about 20 minutes. it's the perfect way to pause in this busy Christmas season and focus our hearts on the Lord. -Tomorrow after the service we will be lighting the Christmas tree. We will still be lighting the tree even if it's raining. We can squeeze in under the patio cover for a few Christmas Carols. Sounds cozy!

-Next week we have our Preschool Christmas programs, Thursday, December 12th. "Come take a peek in the manger."
-The Pre-K Mockingbirds & Sparrows program is at 9am followed by a regular day of school. The children will exit the program with their teachers and walk to class. Please drop your child off NO LATER than 8:45am, dressed for the program & ready (drop them off in their classroom).
-3pm We will have the Rosy Finch & Blue Jay's program. please find a seat in the Church and the teachers will walk the children up. Please be prepared to take your child with you after the program and don't forget to sign them out!
-4pm We will have the Robin's & Chickadees program. Please find a seat in the Church and the teachers will walk the children up. Please also be prepared to take your child home after the program. Don't forget to sign out.

-The last day of school before Christmas break is Friday, December 20th. We have our happy birthday Jesus parties this day, please check with your child's teacher for individual class details.
-We will close a little early at 5pm (also on the 20th) for the teacher's Christmas party the same night.

I hope to see everyone tomorrow night at the Soup Supper & Advent Service! I can't wait to light the Christmas tree!

Blessings in Christ,
Ms. Beverly
