November Community Meeting

I'm sorry if you weren't able to make the November 14 Cordata Community Meeting. We had an excellent panel discussing several topics related to safety and service in our neighboghoods. Lieutenant Murphy of the Bellingham Police Department discussed one of the challenges we face as a community -- fentaynl.

To learn more about this crisis please read the recent article published in the Salish Current. We all need to be informed and offer any assistance we can to help where possible. LINK

What (and who) is the Cordata Business Park Association?

If you live in a Cordata community with an HOA, your monlhy fees may include a portion that gets directed to the Cordata Business Park Association (CBPA) to support the costs of maintaining the common areas in Cordata. The Cordata neighborhood includes an area of approximately 640 acres that is subject to compliance with rules and regulations that are comprised of the Cordata Business Park planned unit development (PUD). The Cordata Business Park Association (CBPA) has responsibility for oversight of the PUD. The CBPA includes a Board of six members and contracts with Saratoga Commercial Real Estate Management Services to manage the property. This document link connects you with the most recent meeting of the CBPA Board. Additional information about how the Association is organized can be found at this Website.

There are lots of ways to be a part of decisions that can shape our community, our neighborhoods, and our lives. Don't miss your chance to be heard.

The Bellingham Plan will shape the next 24 years of Bellingham's growth. Don't lose your opportunity to learn more and to provide your input about the directions the City should be taking in future planning. This Website will fill you in on previous conversations with the public and give you a chance to be heard.

This month's resource from Greg Hope (Education and Outreach Coordinator for the City of Bellingham) is called the Home Hazard Hunt.

The majority of injuries resulting from earthquakes are due to falling objects, not structural failure. A home hazard hunt is the first step toward identifying and correcting these vulnerabilities. From strapping your water heater and confirming flexible to connections to appliances, to relocating or securing heavy or glass objects on high shelves, to fastening tall pieces of furniture to walls, every corrective action reduces our exposure to injury during an earthquake. Link to the YouTube Video for more information.
