cgpp-reportCELEBRATE POLIO MILESTONES IN CORE GROUP POLIO PROJECT ANNUAL REPORT

The CORE Group Polio Project (CGPP) rides a wave of momentum out of 2015. For the first time in its 16-year history, all CGPP countries reported zero cases of wild poliovirus and have exited the list of polio-endemic countries. Africa is also now polio free.

The CGPP continues to contribute to polio eradication by working with more than 10,000 community health volunteers who support polio campaigns; conduct community-based surveillance; promote routine immunization; track the vaccination status of under-five children, newborns, and pregnant women; and mobilize communities to participate in vaccination services.

nutATTEND CRACKING THE NUT HEALTH '16

CORE Group is excited to be a media partner for the first Cracking the Nut Health Conference happening July 18-20, 2016 at the FHI 360 Conference Center in Washington, DC. The theme, The Role of Communities in Building Resilient Health Systems, aligns with our network's promotion and advancement of community health interventions in the most marginalized populations around the world. The event is a first-class global conference that will bring together private and public institutions to transform how we design global health interventions and channel investments to build resilient health systems that are responsive to communities and clients.

The conference has an exciting agenda that includes Michael Myers, Managing Director of The Rockefeller Foundation, as the keynote speaker and a high-level private sector panel moderated by USAID. Breakout sessions will showcase competitively selected best practices through three focused themes:
  1. Using Measurement and Analytics to Improve Accountability
  2. Leveraging Partnerships to Promote Resilience
