Low mortgage rates, job growth, and income expansion will continue to support higher sales, says NAR’s chief economist.
At this time of year, it’s common for agents to pull a listing off the market for extended periods of time, while the seller enjoys the holidays or does renovations/changes in preparation for the spring. These listings are typically placed in the Withdrawn status, which means the listing agent still has a valid listing agreement in place. You should  never  prospect Withdrawn listings, as it may put you in violation of Bright’s rules, the code of ethics, and state regulations.
Congress just extended the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through Dec. 20 avoiding a lapse, and the President signed the bill. The NFIP is being extended as part of the Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government operating while Congress works on 2020 appropriations measures over the next month. Now that NFIP is attached to the CR, there is less chance of a lapse in December; nevertheless, NAR will keep fighting for a long-term reauthorization measure. We'll keep you posted. Stay tuned.

Office Principals Forum
On Nov. 19, CORE held an Office Principals Forum on the topic of Realtor Cooperation in Today's World. The event, sponsored by Bright MLS, featured several distinguished guests, including Bright MLS CEO Brian Donnellan and renowned instructor Diane Disbrow, who led a two-hour interactive discussion. Attendees learned about new policies from the National Association of Realtors and Bright MLS regarding Realtor cooperation, which is Article 3 of the Realtor Code of Ethics, the basis of the Multiple Listing Service.  CLICK HERE  for a NAR Policy and Bright Policy comparison. Thanksgiving Drive
CORE is pleased to report that our annual Thanksgiving Drive was a tremendous success. More than 90 baskets and 85 care packages were collected for GI Go, Soldier On, Homefront, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP), and the soldiers of the 254th Regiment of the New Jersey Army National Guard. A huge thank you goes out to all who donated. You have all, without a doubt, made the holiday much brighter for so many soldiers, struggling veterans, and less fortunate men and women.
Please join us for our holiday event! Catch up with old friends, meet new ones, thank our outgoing 2019 leaders, and welcome our new 2020 leadership. There will be an open bar from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a program and lunch to follow.
'Tis the Season for Giving
CORE is collecting socks, blankets & gift cards for the less fortunate this holiday season. For gift cards, we are suggesting $5 to a fast food restaurant (McDonald, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, etc.). All donations will benefit Homefront and the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP).

Please drop your donations off at the Branchburg or Trenton office before  December 9 .
