Birthday Treats for 20-21
Birthdays are a special day, with many things this year, our policy on Birthday Treats needs to be adjusted. For the 20-21 school year we ask that you not send in ANY form of a treat. Anything coming to school that would go home with another student needs to sit for three days. It really becomes an organizational issue in classrooms that are already organizing many added details. Thank you so much for your support in this.
Parent Teacher Conferences

As we are off and running into a new school year with new practices and procedures, we know this will impact how we conference with families. To continue to ensure the health and safety of our learners and staff, we will not be holding in-person conferences with families.

We have long known that not every learner needs to have a conference on a
pre-determined date. With students being out of school for so long, it makes sense to have contact with families a little sooner than in years past. Instead, our teachers are available to, and plan to, speak virtually or by phone with each family by October 2. These times could be before school, after school or during the school day if it works.

More information will follow from your child’s classroom teacher.
We look forward to continuing to partner with you in supporting your learners together. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Hello Magee Families!

KM Elementary schools will be using Google Classroom to communicate learning tasks through your child’s school account.

Google Classroom can be found using the Chrome browser at Each student is enrolled in a homeroom, art, gym and music class. If access is turned on, you may be receiving classroom summaries from Google Classroom.

Here is a quick video for more information. Parents can start logging into their child’s Google Classroom using their school accounts ( and check it to see some of the class work your students are doing here at school.

Here is a KM Elementary Help Desk for guides on a variety of tools we will use throughout the year.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to email your teacher or Mrs. Jones in the library, .

Thank you!!

Picture Retake Day
Not happy with school pictures? No worries, picture retake day will be Friday, September 25 from 8:30-10:00 AM.
Magee is holding a Mum Sale again this year! Woodridge Landscapes has dropped off over 150 Mums in front of Magee.

Each plant is $7.  Half of the proceeds from the sale will be donated back to Magee to use for outdoor learning and other student focused projects!

There is a box in the front lobby where you can place payment. Checks can be made to Woodridge Landscapes or cash in an envelope is great too! We will not be able to provide change.

Thank you so much to Woodridge Landscapes and Lee Schroedl for making this possible!

Thank you for your support!

Dear KM Families,

The Department of Public Instruction released news that USDA Reimbursable Meals will continue through the end of 2020 or until available funds run out. The Kettle Moraine School District looks forward to participating in this program for both our face-to-face and distance learning students. As we work to ensure that our serving process meets USDA and DPI requirements, we ask for your patience and support.

Face-to-Face Students
As you might have noticed during the first week of school, KMSD students are being charged $0 for a lunch meal.  These meals are fully reimbursable by the USDA provided that the food purchased meets the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines.   If your child purchases individual items without a fruit/vegetable or milk, they will be charged for the item(s) as this purchase does not qualify for reimbursement. To ensure that your child gets a free meal, they will need to ensure that they have taken all of the components of a reimbursable meal. KMSD Nutrition Services staff will be on hand to remind your child(ren) if they do not have all of the components of a reimbursable meal.

For the time being, lunch checkout will occur as normal. When your child purchases a reimbursable meal, they will be charged $0 if they have all of the components. Ala-carte items and seconds will continue to be made available for purchase at a cost to the student/family.

If you have any questions, please contact Lindsay Johnson, Finance Manager,

Please see the welcome from the Magee PTO - you are all members! And check out the opportunities for Effortless Fundraising!

The Magee PTO has started a Kindness Rock Project. They will be creating and hiding rocks for families to hunt for. Look for them on Facebook at Magee Kindness Rocks. When families find them, there is a bin outside of the school office for students to bring them in. The rocks will be used to line the paths in the Butterfly Garden. What a great way to spread kindness and beautify our butterfly garden! Happy Hunting!
