Car Drop Off/Pick Up Lane
To help ease the process, expedite the line, and keep everyone safe:
  • Please pull all the way forward to the car in front of you during drop off and pick up. This allows less cars backed up on Kirkwood.
  • Allow cars from each direction a chance to turn onto school property.
  • Avoid stopping in front of the front doors or picking up students on Kirkwood.
  • Students should exit the car on the curb side.
  • You may pull into the middle lane after your child has exited or entered your vehicle to leave the line.
  • Use the left lane to exit or park in the parking lot.
  • Use a crosswalk to cross the street.
  • Do not drop off or pick up any child in the middle or left lanes.
  • The road that leads to the back is not for drop off or pick up. The lanes are used for busses and faculty only.

Donate Unwanted Shoes and Help Dragons Reach 10K Pair Shoe Drive
Mateo Bryce, Matt and Will Blount partnered with the nonprofit Soles4Souls and are collecting new and gently worn shoes to help people in need. Please consider donating shoes that you no longer wear or have outgrown for a good cause. All sizes and types of shoes for men, women and children are appreciated. Boxes will be located at the main entrance to all elementary, middle and CISD high schools starting the week of Aug. 23 for two weeks.  Click here to learn more about Soles4Souls.

The used shoes that are donated are repurposed and become a means for families in developing countries to earn a living reselling the shoes, and if the boys reach their 10K pair goal, Soles4Souls will donate new shoes to a local nonprofit.

Below is a video the boys created on the mission of Soles4Souls and the impact that a pair of shoes can make:
