Spring has sprung and here come the bluebonnets!. I’ve already seen my first cluster. Do yourself a favor and commit to taking pictures in the bluebonnets every year with someone or a pet that you care about--this could be a selfie, no judgement here. First of all it’s a constant so it’s an opportunity to look back and see changes you’ve missed. Besides, with how our weather is going and how development is taking over, who knows just how much longer we’ll be able to find clusters of bluebonnets to enjoy. I still look at past bluebonnet pictures taken over 25 years ago that take me back in time and put a smile on my face and in my heart.
This month the full “Pink” Moon will shine bright on April 12-13. No, it won’t be pink, it’s called the “pink moon” because of the pink Phlox flowers that bloom at the beginning of spring. The full moon will be in Libra so expect relationships to feel intense, also a good time to reconnect with old friends. While the moon is in Libra it’s a great time to reconnect with nature and a great reminder is Mother Earth Day on 4/22. Go hug a tree and/or enjoy a barefoot walk. Take some deep breaths, reflect on nature’s beauty and ground yourself.
You can enjoy Nature at night also, and this month we finally get a chance to catch a falling star after several months of no activity. Look to the heavens April 12-26 and you might see a fireball from the Lyrid meteor shower associated with the Thatcher Comet. The Eta Aquarids meteor shower originated from Halley's Comet, and will be visible from April 20-May 21. These shooting stars might be easier to spot because of their trailing light tail and intense activity right before dawn. This comet isn’t expected to peak until May 3-4 but with two comets firing off this month you just might get lucky.

Mercury will go back direct April 6-7 but keep in mind that you will probably feel the “shadow period” that runs for a couple of weeks after planets go direct due to this being the first retrograde of the year. Mercury is in Aries until 3/29 then it moves into Pisces so heads up, what you were feeling in March is nothing compared to what you’ll be experiencing most of April. The best preparation to get thru this intense energy is just slow down, try not to get frustrated and don’t take things too seriously.

| | | The Big Move to 11055 N IH35 - Updates | |
Move Delays Continue
Well, we would love to say "Move delayed yet again! April Fools!", but sadly it's true. We received our final power plan approval from Austin Energy, and we are scheduled to have our new meter installed next week! Once that is done, we are looking at 2-3 weeks to finish the build and permitting. We will be applying for a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for Stock, so that we can hopefully begin moving some of our backstock inventory to the new location.
In the meantime, we have updated our emergency exit signs and fire safety system, doors are being installed and painted, and our new restrooms are almost complete! Also, Mother Nature is in full swing with trees budding, grass growing and flowers blooming, so definitely worth stopping by to snap some pictures!
We will continue offering you TWO LOCATIONS to shop from during this transition. As promised our Crystal Boutique at the 11055 Event Center AND our Retail Showroom at the 4103 Classic Location are now both open 7 days a week now! Visit our Showroom from 11a-6p or our Crystal Boutique from 12-5p.
After updates from our General Contractor and Project Manager, here is our current (not set in stone) plan for the Big Move:
- April - Upgrade our power grid, finish doors & floors, renovate 2 existing restrooms, finish exterior touch ups, get final permits and then install security, phone and network systems
- May - complete multi-phased move one department at a time to best serve customers; set-up new space & work on signage
- June - 25th Anniversary Spring Trunk Show & Showroom Grand Opening; stay tuned for dates!
